Explore the Rail Corridor
The Rail Corridor project adds and connects our current local multi-use trails and adds more sustainable transportation throughout the County.
A North to South County Transportation Spine starts with Rail Transit – Rail service will connect North and South County and points in between. Connection points at Watsonville/Pajaro Junction will give us car-free access to destinations beyond our county.
…and a Parallel Multi-Use Trail – Along our entire 32-mile-long rail corridor will allow safe, car transportations options to 88 parks, 42 schools, and over half of the county’s population who live within one mile of the corridor.
Connected to Cross-County Bus Lines – Local bus service connects rail hubs to our neighborhoods and travel destinations.
Safe Streets – Bikes, e-bikes, scooters, and emerging personal mobility solutions require safe street strategies to connect neighborhoods to corridor hubs and transit while supporting healthy, carbon free mobility.
